I Open My Eyes

I am six napping in the grass

I open my eyes

Seeing a magnificent sky

I am seventeen lying on the kitchen floor

My Mother has died

I open my eyes

Seeing outside of my body

I am thirty-two lying on my bed

My Father is dead

Seeing nothing

I am 40 floating on water

Connecting with my sixth-sense

I open my eyes

Feeling their presence 

New Found Treasure

I sense his gentle touch

Remembering just how much

Love dictates the wall to disappear

Knowing the excitement when he is near

With pulse racing through my veins

His salty sweat escapes like rain

Trembling at the thought of his closeness

Pressing against me with such fierce boldness

Experiencing the release to be free

Creating my passion meant to be

After, with his hand in mine

Breathing contentment of our rhyme

Wearing gentle smiles of pleasure

We drift to dreams of our new found treasure

EVOLVING


My face uplifted absorbing the rain

Moist air and water erasing my pain

Embracing the feeling that comes over me

When air and water touch my body

Fitting the pieces together cleansing my soul

Weaving me into the Universe leaving me whole

Now I am ready to share my life and love

Dancing and singing with angels above

We are all connected to this feeling

By forgiving, loving then eventually healing
